Changes In Plans

Hello, Pixels! We have some important changes in plans to announce!

Winter Event Cancelled - Bigger Things On The Horizon!

The event this month that was mentioned in the December 2023 newsletter has been cancelled in order to make way for a larger event. We will announce the new event when we get close to it going live, so please stay tuned!

Some Festivities

Although a full-blown winter event will not happen this year, there will still be a couple festivities to celebrate the wintertime and new year!

• Gift Art redemption boost! The Gift Art multiplier for Art Redemption will be boosted from today to January 31st! Specifically, the Someone Else's Kit and Staff Kit multipliers will both be increased to +30%! Drawing the mascots and other NPKs owned by the Hudson account will remain the same at +35%. Make someone happy by drawing a bit of gift art this winter!
• New Year's Raffles on Discord! On New Year's Eve, we will be holding some design raffles and a Laserdisc raffle in the Datakit Cache Discord server! If you're interested and not in the Discord server, please consider joining us here!

Halloween 2023 event ending soon

Hello, Pixels! Today is the last day of the Datakit Cache's Halloween 2023 Event! The event will officially close November 8th 12am CST (The midnight between the 7th and 8th).

Submissions to the Event Gallery and Event Prompts will be accepted until Nov. 8th 12am CST. The Event Shop will remain open until November 11th 12am CST. After the Event Shop closes, all remaining Datakandy in your bank will be converted to Bytes at a 1:1 conversion rate.

Monthly Prompt

The Monthly Prompt for November 2023 is Sports/Games! Draw Datakits playing sports or other games! This extends to any kind of sport/game!

Remember to submit Monthly Prompt pieces to the Monthly Prompt Gallery! Monthly Prompt pieces go for double than normal!

Halloween event still ongoing

The Halloween 2023 Event will continue until the end of November 7th (site time)! We hope you are enjoying the event!

Remember that after the event ends, all remaining Datakandy in your bank will be converted to Bytes at a 1:1 conversion rate (1 Datakandy = 1 Byte)! If there's anything in the Event Shop you want, be sure to grab it before the event ends!

HALLOWEEN 2023 EVENT

Hello, Pixels! Today is the start of the Halloween 2023 Event! This event will last from October 24th to November 7th!

Below are festivities and mechanics for the event!

EVENT CURRENCY + SHOP

This event will have a currency and shop tied to it! The currency is Datakandy, and can be earned via participation in the event prompts! At the Event Shop, you can exchange your Datakandy for items, including exclusive items!

All Datakandy left in your bank will be converted to Bytes at the end of the event. The conversion rate is 1:1.

EVENT PROMPTS

There are two art prompts for this event! Both can be found on the Prompts page. Make sure to upload any submissions to the Event Gallery first!

Trick or Treating
- Can be completed once per day
- 50 Datakandy
- Choice of either drawing Datakandy, a costumed circuit, or a costumed Datakit

Halloween 2023 Event
- Can be completed any number of times
- 100 Datakandy
- Draw at least a lined flat color fullbody Datakit fitting the theme of either Autumn or Halloween

NEW TRAIT + ADOPT BATCH

We're announcing a new trait today: Off-Model! Off-Model is an Exclusive trait that allows a Datakit to have anatomy that does not conform to the standard for its species. This includes floating limbs, extra-long anatomy, etc.

DATAKIT CACHE GRAND OPENING EVENT

Hello, Pixels! Today is the start of the Grand Opening event for the Datakit Cache website! The event will last from August 25th to Sept 8th! We'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who has been with us before this event, and we'd also like to welcome everyone who joins this species during it and beyond!

If you submit a piece to this event's art prompt, you will receive a booster pack of items, consisting of 1 Circuit, 2 Yellow USBs, 1 Pink USB, and 1 Black USB! For this prompt, you must draw at least two cleanly lined and fully colored fullbodies of Datakits interacting in some way! The monthly prompt for July 2023 is Supernatural! You can draw Datakits dressed up as supernatural beings, investigating the supernatural, etc.! This one's a bit broad, so feel free to get creative!

Inventory Transfers

If you have been a member of the species before the site was up, please transfer over your inventory in the inventory-transfers channel in the official Datakits Discord Server if you haven't already! This is so all the Bytes and items you've earned can be transferred to your account!

Art Fight

Art Fight is upon us, and we'd like to restate that drawing Datakits for Art Fight is allowed and encouraged! Redeeming Art Fight attacks in Art Redemption will net you a +50% bonus, as long as you link the attack in the submission! If you'd like, you can share your Art Fight profile in the af2023-profiles channel in the official Datakits Discord Server! Be sure to follow the prompt in the pinned message.
